About the IJPPP and its Editorial Board
INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF PSYCHOPATHOLOGY,
PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY
AND PSYCHOTHERAPY
The International Journal of Psychopathology, Psychopharmacology, and
Psychotherapy (IJPPP) is devoted to the reduction of human suffering by
promoting a better understanding of psychiatric disorders and by improving
the treatment of individuals who suffer from such disorders.
Published by PsyCom.Net, the IJPPP was founded with the encouragement and
support of the subscribers to PsyCom.Net's Psychopharmacology,
Psychotherapy, and Neuropsych forums. PsyCom.Net is affiliated with
InterPsych, the international on-line mental health organization founded
in 1994 by Ian Pitchford.
The IJPPP (I-J-triple-P) is an electronic journal devoted to
innovations in the understanding of psychopathology and in the
psychopharmacologic and psychotherapeutic techniques for
preventing, eliminating, or reducing the suffering that results
from psychopathology. A biopsychosocial model is applied to
psychopathology and its treatment. This peer-reviewed journal
will be distributed via the Internet, allowing for the rapid
dissemination of its contents.
Authors are encouraged to submit contributions that focus on original
theoretical formulations regarding psychopathology, research findings,
treatment experiences involving psychopharmacologic and/or
psychotherapeutic techniques, prevention methods, professional
education, and legal and policy concerns that affect the care of
individuals with psychiatric disorders.
While the Journal publishes review papers and full research
reports, it concentrates on the publication of case reports,
brief research reports, comments, book, video, and software
reviews, and letters to the Editor, and from time to time it will
publish special issues devoted to a single topic.
