, I am a psychiatrist and clinical psychopharmacologist in private practice in New York
City. Formerly on the staff of the National Institute of Mental Health and the Departments
of Psychiatry of the Columbia- Presbyterian Medical Center, and Columbia University's
College of Physicians and Surgeons, I now devote my time to evaluating and providing advanced
innovative treatment for individuals whose bipolar disorder or hard-to-treat depression has not
responded to standard drug treatments.
Individuals whose depression or bipolar depression has been called "treatment-resistant" are of
special interest to me. I also frequently work with people who experience atypical depression,
rapidly cycling bipolar disorder and/or severe mixed states.
