Michelle Stacy’s work has been published in magazines as diverse as The New Yorker, Harper’s, The New York Times Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Elle, and Gourmet. She’s also worked on staff as an editor at Outside, Savvy, Mademoiselle, Cosmo, Glamour, Shape, and Martha Stewart Living and Weddings; and has published two well-reviewed nonfiction books: Consumed and The Fasting Girl.
Some of her favorites topics: why Americans are so obsessed and frankly nutty about food and eating, the battle over American English and how much it should be allowed to change, Victorian-era American history, crimes against women (from date rape to sexual harassment to street crime to abusive relationships), the nature of time itself and the fight over earth time versus atomic time, to name a few.
