Stigma can be a four-letter word. It can contribute to  negative feelings and interfere with our thinking. As awareness around mental health issues increases, more and more people who live with mental health challenges are using body art to showcase their mental health story.

Some say they see it as an affirmation of their worth or a way to lay claim to something that’s often tucked away from sight.
